WHO WE ARE
Our Partners and Collaborators
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Office of General Counsel (OGC), the Veterans Health Administration (VHA) and the National Association of Veterans’ Research and Education Foundations (NAVREF) have partnered to develop a series of model agreements for research collaborations benefiting our nation’s veterans. Research collaborations with industry sponsors and diverse institutions help address complex research questions across different disciplines and provide access to invaluable knowledge and expertise in highly specialized domains.
BVMRF initiates collaborative efforts with various VA offices and centers to streamline research administration processes and provide pre-award and post-award administrative services for extramurally-funded VA research and education projects. This entails involvement in project proposal preparation, evaluation, and endorsement, as well as negotiating and accepting awards and sub-awards. BVMRF also manages the issuance of sub-awards and related agreements and establishes and maintains accounts within its financial system to ensure the fulfillment of sponsors' financial requirements.
